The Mind and Music of Me
I am not a sorority girl, a political protester, a student body president, a 6th Street scene-ster, or a football fanatic. Actually, I haven’t the slightest idea what it really means to be a “typical college student”, but I’m pretty sure that I’m far from it. I waited a few years after high school before even starting college, which makes me feel like an old hag walking through campus. And I guess I’ve just never been “typical” in general, preferring to march to my own drum, as they say. As I am surviving through my last semester at the University of Texas, however, I have decided to make a list of activities that I want to experience before I leave this chapter in my life behind. A college bucket list.
Calling it a bucket list might be a little over dramatic, but there is something inspiring about the thought of seizing my final semester of college and committing to experiencing new things before I’m released into the great unknown. What better time than college to conquer fear and take risks? None I say. And who wants to look back to any point in their life and ask the regretful ‘what if’? Not one. It is decided. So here we go.
